Van der Helm is a major player in Warehousing, Road Transport, and Air & Ocean Forwarding.
At our Hoofddorp branch, we currently have a team of over 30 employees dedicated to the efficient handling of import and export shipments for our (predominantly Fashion & Lifestyle) clients. It is a dynamic work environment where you will be involved in all aspects of air freight forwarding.
Function
- In this role, you will be responsible for the daily handling of export shipments.
- Administrative and operational handling of export shipments
(air – sea – road – express) with an emphasis on air freight. - Daily communication with clients, suppliers, agents, overseas offices, carriers.
- Ability to advise and offer comprehensive solutions for logistical challenges.
- Negotiating rates with various suppliers.
- Maintaining contact with the warehouse and planning department regarding the physical handling of cargo.
- Processing and preparing customs documentation.
- Handling the financial aspects of an export shipment.
Job requirements
- MBO level of professional and intellectual ability;
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Independent and customer-oriented;
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages (oral and written);
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook;
- Preferably holding a valid ‘dangerous goods’ certificate.
